Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how RideAgo OÜ ("RideAgo", "we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, mobile identifiers, and similar tracking technologies on our website and mobile applications (collectively, the "Platform"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data more generally.

By continuing to use our Platform, you consent to the use of cookies and similar technologies as described in this policy. You may withdraw your consent at any time by adjusting your browser or device settings.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and improve your overall experience. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot harm your device.

In addition to standard cookies, our mobile applications use similar tracking technologies such as software development kits (SDKs), advertising identifiers, device identifiers, and local storage to provide functionality and analyze usage.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the operation of our Platform. They enable core functionality such as security, network management, session management, and language preferences. The Platform cannot function properly without these cookies, and they cannot be disabled.

  • Session cookies — Maintain your session as you navigate between pages
  • Language preference — Remembers your selected language
  • CSRF protection — Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks
  • CAPTCHA verification — Validates form submissions to prevent spam

3.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages. If you do not allow these cookies, some or all of these features may not function correctly.

  • Remembering driver registration progress
  • Saving user interface preferences
  • Storing form data temporarily during multi-step submissions

3.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our Platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. We use this data to improve our services and identify technical issues.

  • Page views, navigation paths, time spent on pages
  • Device type, browser, operating system
  • Country and city level location (IP-based, not precise GPS)
  • Referral sources (which website you came from)

3.4 Marketing Cookies

RideAgo currently does not use third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or marketing tracking technologies on our Platform. Should this change in the future, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent.

4. Mobile Application Tracking Technologies

Our driver mobile applications (available on the App Store and Google Play) use the following technologies to provide functionality and improve your experience:

4.1 Device Identifiers

  • Device ID: A unique identifier assigned to your device that allows us to recognize your installation across sessions
  • Advertising ID (IDFA / GAID): Used solely for analytics — not for advertising purposes. You may reset or limit this in your device settings
  • Push notification token: Used to send you ride assignments, status updates, and important account notifications

4.2 Permissions Requested by the Mobile App

Our driver application requests the following permissions, which you may grant or revoke at any time through your device settings:

  • Location (precise and continuous): Required to assign nearby transfer jobs, provide turn-by-turn navigation, and verify pickup/drop-off events. Location data is collected only while you are actively on duty in the app
  • Camera: Used for uploading required documents (driver's license, vehicle registration, insurance) during onboarding and verification
  • Notifications: Required to alert you of new ride assignments, schedule changes, and account-related messages
  • Storage: Used to cache documents, profile photos, and offline data

4.3 Mobile Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use the following tools in our mobile applications to monitor performance and improve stability:

  • Firebase Analytics (Google) — Collects anonymized usage statistics to help us understand app behavior
  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — Captures crash reports to identify and fix technical issues
  • Performance monitoring — Tracks app load times, network requests, and resource usage

These tools collect technical information only and do not access your personal communications, photos, or files outside the app.

5. Third-Party Cookies & Services

Some cookies are placed by third-party services that appear on our pages. These third parties may include:

  • Cloudflare — Provides security, DDoS protection, and content delivery. May set essential security cookies
  • Google Fonts — Provides web fonts. May log IP addresses for technical purposes
  • flagcdn.com — Provides country flag images displayed in our footer

These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of cookies and data, which we recommend reviewing.

6. Cookie Duration

Cookies fall into two general categories based on how long they remain on your device:

  • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. These are used for essential functions during your visit
  • Persistent cookies: Remain on your device for a set period (typically up to 12 months) or until you manually delete them. Used for preferences and analytics

7. How to Manage Cookies

7.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can usually find these options in the "Privacy" or "Settings" section of your browser. Common options include:

  • Blocking all cookies
  • Blocking only third-party cookies
  • Clearing cookies when you close the browser
  • Receiving a notification before a cookie is set

For specific instructions, visit the help section of your browser:

  • Google Chrome — Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox — Settings > Privacy & Security
  • Apple Safari — Preferences > Privacy
  • Microsoft Edge — Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

Please note: Disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent certain features of our Platform from working correctly, including form submissions, language switching, and security features.

7.2 Mobile Device Settings

For our mobile applications, you can manage tracking and permissions directly through your device:

  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and individual app permissions
  • Android: Settings > Privacy > Permission manager, and per-app permission settings

You may also reset your advertising identifier on both platforms at any time.

8. Consent

Where required by applicable law, we will request your explicit consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. You may grant, refuse, or withdraw your consent at any time through our cookie banner or by adjusting your browser settings.

Consent for strictly necessary cookies is not required, as these are essential for the operation of the Platform.

10. International Transfers

Cookie data and tracking information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including the United States (where Google services are hosted). Such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, or our practices. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • Display a prominent notice on our Platform
  • Notify registered users via email when changes are significant

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies and similar technologies.
